Foxveil 'quill' build Mach-O, the ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVENTH payload served from this one unchanged URL (fat x86_64+arm64, 1,216,336 B), fetched via Tor 2026-10-02 00:35:36 UTC, origin build time 00:10:21, 59 minutes after the previous build. The origin is nginx, so each build time is readable from the ETag: the payloads served behind this URL were stamped 2026-09-25 11:30:01, 20:09:51, 21:09:51, 22:09:57, 2026-09-26 01:09:57, 2026-09-27 00:10:03, 2026-09-28 00:10:10, 2026-09-29 00:10:16, 2026-09-30 00:10:14, 2026-10-01 00:10:21 and 2026-10-02 00:10:21 UTC. The job skips hours rather than running on a fixed interval, and the gaps measured so far run from 27 minutes to 8 hours 39 minutes. The delivery chain is fixed and only the payload rotates: the stage-1 zsh dropper at the same host (sha256 de5b4c6411938c0660f01d6933fd21e40ea7a2b6a141ff552d9dc39c931f6345) has carried the same ETag since 2026-09-18 12:56:51 (last checked 2026-10-02 00:35 UTC). The first build in the series was unpacked statically and held the same AMOS AppleScript stealer, with the same 47 handlers, hosts and persistence, decrypted with a key derived from the SHA-256 of the loader's own __text section, so each repack rekeys itself. What rotates is the wrapper: obfuscation volume, PBKDF2 iteration count, encrypted item count and table layout, tokens and the ad-hoc code signing identity. This build compared against the previous one: 41 __text functions against 43, TLSH of __text 52, within the range measured between builds of this family. The encrypted payload table holds 80 items totalling 239,902 bytes of plaintext against 108 items and 238,064 bytes in the previous build, a 0.8 percent move: the same script re-chunked. This build was not unpacked. Host answers HTTP 200 only to a curl User-Agent; browser User-Agents get a Cloudflare 520. Not executed.

YARA Signatures

MalwareBazaar uses YARA rules from several public and non-public repositories, such as YARAhub and Malpedia. Those are being matched against malware samples uploaded to MalwareBazaar as well as against any suspicious process dumps they may create. Please note that only results from TLP:CLEAR rules are being displayed.

Rule name:Foxveil_Loader_TaskInfo_Variant
Description:Foxveil macOS loader (ClickFix -> AMOS), quill generation with run-time settings back inside the payload script (no constructor settings file): fat x86_64+arm64 linking CoreFoundation+libSystem+libc++ but importing nothing from CoreFoundation or objc, with the task_info/mach_task_self_ resolver core in both slices inside a per-build random libc decoy import set
