This sample is a .NET (MSIL) AsyncRAT trojan disguised as a legitimate application. VirusTotal reports that a majority of security vendors classify it as AsyncRAT / MSIL backdoor. Static analysis indicates heavy obfuscation, anti-analysis / anti-debugging checks, and long sleep delays to evade sandbox detection. Behavioral analysis and Sigma rule matches suggest persistence via scheduled task creation (schtasks.exe), execution from suspicious paths or environment variables, and network communication over uncommon destination ports. Sandbox results classify the file as a remote access trojan (RAT) with evasion capabilities, consistent with known AsyncRAT tradecraft. This sample is suitable for malware research, detection engineering, and threat intelligence correlation.

YARA Signatures

MalwareBazaar uses YARA rules from several public and non-public repositories, such as YARAhub and Malpedia. Those are being matched against malware samples uploaded to MalwareBazaar as well as against any suspicious process dumps they may create. Please note that only results from TLP:CLEAR rules are being displayed.
