Linux XMRig-based coinminer dropper ('project0'). Captured 2026-07-27 by a high-interaction SSH honeypot: dropped as /root/.16 by 62.171.133.1 after the actor fingerprinted a spoofed 4x Tesla V100S host, uploaded over SFTP, then ran "echo '1q2w3e4r' | sudo -S sh -c 'chmod +x /root/.16'" with plain fallbacks. Static stripped x86-64 ELF, not packed. Embeds XMR wallet 89PNDJssF3RbL6m7aSydYB4tLrvjZ28Cr8n4LucmFHat8botWkWr6oDPEaSHfeZn4wfA3dC5QsE7nZV1P6tE81sK2i9heam plus supportxmr pool list - same wallet as d16ac2d831efdd58955ab62b8c52af1dfcd800e6074a3269b07be4b8af3e8bfa (this reporter, 2026-07-14). The actor rebuilds the dropper every 12-24h: 5 distinct builds seen 2026-07-26..29. Two build classes - ~1.2MB zig/clang-toolchain (PT_LOAD x8, 15 sections) and, from 2026-07-27, 1.7-3.4MB with no zig/clang markers (PT_LOAD x7, 18 sections) carrying a full XMRig string table (donate.v2.xmrig.com, nicehash.com, pool-*.supportxmr.com:5555). GPU-gated: prior analysis of this family showed it idles without an NVIDIA GPU.
