YARA Signatures

MalwareBazaar uses YARA rules from several public and non-public repositories, such as YARAhub and Malpedia. Those are being matched against malware samples uploaded to MalwareBazaar as well as against any suspicious process dumps they may create. Please note that only results from TLP:CLEAR rules are being displayed.

Analysed this Amadey payload. The binary acts as a dropper, installing itself in AppData\Local\Temp under a randomised name (e.g., Ujkjwrro.exe) and establishing persistence. Standard static string extraction (FLOSS) fails due to a custom modular arithmetic cypher used for configuration decryption. Dynamic memory extraction during the InternetConnectA API call reveals the C2 IP: 196.251.107.130 and URI: /h84jjfAr/index.php. A full technical write-up detailing the custom cypher bypass is be available on my Medium (https://medium.com/@svetli80/unmasking-amadey-when-static-analysis-fails-dynamic-extraction-prevails-0a201da0b6b8)
