Delivery:- ClickFix PowerShell (hxxps://sail.autolabsouthgate[.]com/update.ps1) collects a host fingerprint:
MachineGuid|VolumeSerial|ComputerName|BIOS|Model|GPU|Username
- The fingerprint is sent base64-encoded to hxxps://sail.autolabsouthgate[.]com/d/<b64>. The server returns a ZIP built for that victim: Everything.exe + Everything.ini + WindowsCodecs.dll + data.dat
- The ZIP is extracted to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\VoidTools\ and persistence is set with Everything's own flag: -install-current-user-run-on-system-startup
- The DLL's PE timestamp is ~1 min before download time and data.dat is encrypted per victim, so hashes are likely unique per victim.
This DLL (WindowsCodecs.dll proxy):
- Forwards 115 WIC exports to System32\WindowsCodecs.dll
- Strings obfuscated with a rolling XOR (seed 0xA7) plus an RC4 variant (S-box i^0x47, drop 3167)
- Reads data.dat from its own directory. Key = SHA256("<MachineGuid>|<%08X C: serial>|<ComputerName>")
- data.dat layout: IV(16) | AES-256-CBC ciphertext | HMAC-SHA256(key, IV|CT)
- If the HMAC does not match, the DLL exits silently: no activity in sandboxes or on other hosts
- Runtime checks: host process Everything.exe, path \Programs\VoidTools\, CPU/RAM/uptime
- Uses a VEH handler and LdrRegisterDllNotification, then manually maps the decrypted PE with NtAllocateVirtualMemory/NtProtectVirtualMemory
Decrypted stage 3 = TELEPUZ (Polygon contract 0xf55Bea1FdCf1c3ABb39ab92567C09aC1BFf6753E and AES key identical to Elastic's report: https://www.elastic.co/security-labs/telepuz-maas-malware-clickfix)

YARA Signatures
MalwareBazaar uses YARA rules from several public and non-public repositories, such as YARAhub and Malpedia. Those are being matched against malware samples uploaded to MalwareBazaar as well as against any suspicious process dumps they may create. Please note that only results from TLP:CLEAR rules are being displayed.

| Description: | Detects activity associated with VECT ransomware. This includes registry modifications and deletions, execution of system and defense-evasion commands, suspicious API usage, mutex creation, file and memory manipulation, ransomware note generation, anti-debugging and anti-analysis techniques, and embedded cryptographic constants (SHA256) characteristic of this malware family. Designed for threat intelligence and malware detection environments. |
